Losing Your Hair from Tight Hairstyles
All of us are concerned about our hair to a certain extent and this is especially the case whenever we start to notice the fact that we are losing it. Of course, all of us lose hair on a daily basis and that is not necessarily a bad thing, it is often just a matter of the normal hair cycle in which the hair grows for several years and then rests, eventually falling out. The difference is, in the natural cycle of things, your hair is replaced by new growth but whenever you’re having a problem with hair loss, it is not.
Many women experience hair loss, not as a result of genetic issues that they may be concerned about but as a result of the hairstyles that they are wearing. Tight hairstyles are popular in some locations and in certain cultures. For example, many women wear ponytails regularly and at times, they may pull their hair back rather tightly. Whenever you do this, you are putting constant strain on the follicle and scalp which can cause the hair to fall out in large numbers. If you are having a problem with this, simply stop using this form of hairstyle or loosen it up to the extent where you’re not pulling on the scalp. The hair should grow back very quickly.
Other type of hair fashions may be even more extreme than the pony tail. For example, many women have their hair in cornrows or perhaps have it braided tightly on a weekly basis. Although this can look rather nice, it can also reach havoc on your scalp and cause excessive hair loss. It is a good idea for you to allow your hair to rest considerably between these hairstyles or to stop using them altogether. This is especially true if you have weakened the scalp and are experiencing hair loss as a result.
Although it may seem rather boring, having your hair let down naturally is one of the best things you can do for it, as far as hair loss is concerned. If you allow your hair to go natural every once a while, even avoiding the use of such things as hair dryers and curling irons, it gives it the opportunity to strengthen and grow. This may allow you a little bit more freedom as far as your tight hairstyles are concerned and allow you to do it without damaging it to the point where it falls out.
